Susan O’Halloran
is a writer, performing artist, television personality and keynote speaker
whose stories explore the complex issues of race, politics and social justice.
Susan is author of four books and producer of video and films including
Tribes & Bridges at the Steppenwolf Theatre.
The Chicago Reader says O’Halloran “has mastered the Irish art
of telling stories that are funny and heart-wrenching at the same time.
” A Fortune 500 company newsletter called Sue’s performance
“a new approach of politics with soul” and “a brilliant
synthesis of information.”
But her best endorsements come from her audiences: “Imaginative, energetic,
funny! Sue opened our minds to a much broader view of why society excludes
or includes different groups.” And “It got me, pulled me in.
I never knew I could have so much fun learning so much. It was my story,
too, and I left the show feeling energized to deepen my commitment to transforming
our world!”
With Angels Studio, Susan produces the JustStories Festivals, Conferences,
Oral History Projects and television show in the Chicago area. Susan was
featured at the National Storytelling Festival in 1996 and 2004 and as a
National Storytelling Network keynote speaker in 2003.
